Ghouls, Goblins & Guest Bloggers

ghouls

On Thursday, the first of Octember I said that I was looking forward to a month filled with blog posts dedicated to what makes October well October.  I also announced that I was running a month-long contest on Facebook, where the prize is a copy of Stephen King’s latest book, The Bazaar of Bad Dreams.  Not a bad start to the month.

In yesterday’s Follow Friday post, Follow Friday – October Horror one of the three bloggers I highlighted was Robert Vicens of Rambling Ink.  Robert commented on my blog:

Thank you for the shout out on your blog. I write because I love it. I post because I’ve been encouraged to do so by friends and family. Honestly, I’m new to the blogosphere. If you ever think you’d like to do a theme-driven guest post drive based on a Halloween or spooky theme, I would love to participate.

With Robert’s comment as inspiration, I have decided to run a month-long guest post drive called Ghouls, Goblins & Guest Bloggers (I so wanted to call it Ghouls, Goblins and Ghost Bloggers).   The theme is October and Halloween.  Any format of blog post is acceptable, horror, long form, six word story, haiku, photo essay, fiction, non-fiction.  Whether you love or hate October and Halloween let that be your inspiration.

If you are interested in participating let me know by commenting on this post or email me at lpbrown@ymail.com and we can work out the details.  I will promote each guest post and your blog at least five times during the month via social media and on October 31st I will publish a Ghouls, Goblins & Guest Bloggers roundup featuring the posts and blogs who participated during the month.

  1. When I think about October, I think about apples. When I think about apples, I think about apple pies! Just saying…. Keep going, my friend!
