Writer’s Quote Wednesday – Robert Bloch

October is horror month.  This week’s Writer’s Quote Wednesday quote comes from Robert Bloch.  I thought my desk was frightful until I read Bloch’s quote.  Robert_Bloch_with_His_AwardBloch, an American fiction writer is widely known for the suspense novel Psycho, which was adapted into the film by Alfred Hitchcock.  Bloch who was mentored by H.P. Lovecraft was the youngest member of the Lovecraft Circle.

Died: September 23, 1994, Los Angeles, California

Spouse: Marion Ruth Holcombe (1940 – 1963; divorced),
Eleanor Zalisko Alexander (1964 – 1994; until his death)
