If you and I were having coffee right now … I would thank you for agreeing to meet me in the hospital coffee shop. Meeting here is so much easier for me this week.
If you and I were having coffee right now … I would ask you how you’ve been and what kind of week you had.
If you and I were having coffee right now … I would tell you how this week has been extremely stressful. One of my nephews, who lives with me, was admitted into the hospital. What the doctors originally thought was pneumonia turned out to be an infection around his right heart valve. The beginning of the week was pretty intense. Because my nephew was scared and confused by what the doctors were telling him meant that I had to spend my days at the hospital with him so I could be there when the doctors came in. Two sets of ears are better than one. Early in the week, we thought there was a chance he may need at least one surgery if not two. Thankfully, he will be transferred into a rehabilitation facility where he will receive intravenous antibiotics for the next three to four weeks.
If you and I were having coffee right now … I would tell you how the event I was in charge of planning for my local Salvation Army’s Kettle Kick-Off was successful. It was a success in that it was held and this particular branch of the Salvation Army has never held one, about thirty-five people attended (I was hoping for fifty but feared there would be no one in attendance) and by holding the kick-off at city hall with the Mayor presiding we will get some publicity. It was a good first attempt, particularly since I’ve only been a member of the advisory board for a few months, and it gives us the foundation to build upon next year.
If you and I were having coffee right now … I would tell you how I’ve managed to publish a post every day on my blog since November 1st for NaBloPoMo. Even more satisfying that is that one of my posts, last Sunday’s Weekend Coffee Share is listed on the BlogHer sidebar under Most Popular on NaBloPoMo. Last I looked there were 889 posts and my post, which has received 221 reads to date on BlogHer and 24 views on WordPress, was listed as the fourth most popular. Funny thing is after writing that post, I almost didn’t hit publish.
If you and I were having coffee right now … I would tell you how I have fallen behind on all my projects and really need to get caught up this week. I’m anticipating a highly caffeinated week.
If you and I were having coffee right now … I would tell you that this post is part of the Weekend Coffee Share at Part Time Monster
Well, I should get going, Before you leave, please tell me in the comments what you would share with me …
