#WeekendCoffeeShare – November 22, 2015

coffee share

If you and I were having coffee right now … I would apologize for the clutter and lament how I just seem to not be able to stay on top of things.

If you and I were having coffee right now … I would ask how you were and how your week and weekend went.  I would listen intently as you told me the details of your week.

If you and I were having coffee right now … I would tell you how busy this week has been – a session of Budget Buddies another social media workshop, a political fundraiser, a charity shopping event and a community economic development meeting all before the weekend.

If you and I were having coffee right now … I would tell you how I have some tools and leads I need to follow-up on from the workshop and meetings that should help me get my business off the ground. I need to focus on some of that follow-up this week and next week.

IMG_3082If you and I were having coffee right now … I would tell you about the Holiday Shop for a Cause event my networking group CREW Boston held this week. The proceeds went to a great charity – The Elizabeth Stone House, a non-profit that works with victims of domestic violence and their families. It’s a great event that raises money to send children to summer camp (last year we raised enough money to sponsor twelve children). Hopefully, we raised enough money to match or increase last year’s sponsorships. The women in attendance (and a few men) were able to enjoy a glass of wine, some catching up with colleagues and networking while shopping. I bought some homemade jams for part of one present and some bracelets for my nieces from Project Bead, a non-profit started by some Bentley College students to fund the education of children in Ghana.

IMG_3080If you and I were having coffee right now … I would tell you how yesterday was an awesome day. My best friend and ardent supporter, Sam and I met for lunch, went to a local apple orchard and then went back to her house where we made apple pies. Yummy apple pies – I have not eaten any of them yet but I’ve been told they were awesome.  Look for a Burnin’ Up the Kitchen post in the next couple of days on our pies.

If you and I were having coffee right now … I would tell you I would remind you that Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday even more than Christmas.  I love that the focus is on family, football and food.  I would tell you how excited that my other half and I are spending it with my sister and family this year. I would wish you a Happy Thanksgiving and ask how you were celebrating the holiday.

NaBloPoMo_2015If you and I were having coffee right now … I would tell you how my internet service was spotty this past week and I was unable to keep up with NaBloPoMo. I only missed two days and was happy to publish Monday Motivations – Mister Rogers and The Five W’s of Community Blogging Events.

If you and I were having coffee right now … I would tell you that this post is part of the Weekend Coffee Share at Part Time Monster

Well, I should get going,  Before you leave, please tell me in the comments what you would share with me  …

If you and I were having coffee right now …

  1. If you and I were having coffee right… now it would be iced coffee and we could sit, watch the waves gently lapping on the shore and get to know each other better..swap tales of family, work, maybe a recipe…now that’s a lovely thought 🙂
