Monday Motivations – Presidents’ Day

monday.motivations

Since today is Washington’s Birthday or Presidents’ Day as it has become widely known it seems appropriate to turn to the words of American Presidents for motivation and inspiration this week.   I’ve included quotes from former Presidents to collectively provide us motivation.

A poster from the 1890s informing customers that no business would be transacted that day.

I’ve selected ten Presidents from Washington to Kennedy to quote; it was somewhat difficult to cap the quotes at ten.  I could have very easily doubled that amount and included Presidents right through President Obama.  Which quote speaks to you and motivates you?  If I had to choose just one quote, I couldn’t.   The quotes attributed to Andrew Jackson and Calvin Coolidge would be my top choices because they remind me of the Nike mantra of Just Do It.  “Go In” and “Press On” speak to me as I’m a Just Do It kind of person.
